Responsible to:       President of the Welsh Liberal Democrats

Salary:                        £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Benefit:                      8% Employer’s Pension Contribution

Purpose of job

To achieve maximum elected representation and the implementation of Liberal Democratic policies in Wales, the Chief Executive leads the party administration and directs the human, financial and administrative resources of the Party.

They will bring energy and outstanding leadership to this crucial job, whilst recognising that the relationships with the Leader (for political leadership) and the President (for operational leadership) have a key role in the direction of the party.

The Chief Executive will also be responsible for managing all staff employed by the Welsh Liberal Democrats.

Press & Media Officer

To build and maintain the profile of the Party, by helping produce positive coverage in Welsh print, broadcast, and online media. With a key focus on developing a media strategy ahead of the Senedd elections in 2021, the role will involve using key messages to brief spokespeople, respond to breaking news and generate story ideas.

Policy Officer

Purpose of job

The Welsh Policy Officer will work with key stakeholders in the Welsh Party to develop a compelling policy offer for the party in the 2021 Senedd elections.

They will liaise with the Welsh Policy Committee, Parliamentary spokespeople, lead Regional and Constituency candidates to identify and develop key areas of policy, with support and guidance from the Party’s Federal Head of Policy.
