Born in Surrey, Tim studied Chemistry at Swansea University, gaining his BSc in 1979. After a short career in academic research, he worked in industry before founding the green technology company which he runs today. He has also served as a Councillor, fighting for higher environmental standards for local industry and against council plans to close a popular local leisure centre.
Tim has extensive experience of transport, environmental and business issues. He has been a school governor (and chair of governors) of two large primary schools and retains a keen interest in education. In the 2019 General Election, Tim stood as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Wrexham, significantly increasing the Lib Dem share of the vote.
As Member of the Senedd for Wrexham, Tim will campaign to improve the quality of life for local people, by encouraging investment in training and high-skill jobs and improving healthcare provision in the Wrexham area.
Tim lives in a small village outside Wrexham with his wife Barbara, a senior manager in the NHS. When he's not working or campaigning, Tim enjoys walking, cycling, and learning about history and technology.
