Will you help win St Julians?

In May 2012 Ed Townsend won the St Julians ward on Newport City Council by just one vote, becoming the only Liberal Democrat Councillor in Newport.

Sadly Ed passed away in May. He was a key figure in building up the Liberal Democrats in Newport, becoming the Deputy Leader of the Council in 2008 and coming to within just under 900 votes of the Labour Party at the 2008 National Assembly Election and at the Westminster General Election in 2010 he came within 1,600 votes of victory.

Ed's wife, Carmel, is standing to represent the ward in the by-election which is being held on 28th July.

Carmel and her campaign team need your help to ensure a Welsh Liberal Democrat victory. Please volunteer to do as much as you can between now and polling day!

Thank you.
