We would like to thank everyone who attended what was a hugely successful party conference last weekend.
Not only was the venue immensely beautiful, but we heard some terrific speeches from Kirsty Williams AM, Chris Davies MEP and Montgomeryshire candidate Jane Dodds, had some valuable training sessions and debated some hugely important policy motions. We would also like to thank Lord Carlile for a truly fantastic after-dinner speech.
Motions
Unlike the other parties, our members decide on our party policy. Conference decided:
European Campaign
Chris Davies MEP, Aled Roberts AM Chair of the European Campaign and Alec Dauncey Welsh Lib Dem European candidate, all spoke passionately about how our key message for next year's elections will be that we are the party of IN.
Alec said, "Welsh Lib Dems want Britain to stay in the EU because millions of Welsh and British jobs depend on it. We're fighting to defend British and Welsh jobs, create millions more and putting thousands of pounds back into your pocket by supporting EU membership."
Energy Consultation
At Conference, we launched our Energy Consultation. The paper is available here and if you'd like to respond, please send any comments to [email protected] as soon as possible, preferably by December 1st.
If you want to respond quickly yourself, then we've also created a survey with some of the key questions, which you can answer here.
