Tell the Tories: Keep your Broadband pledge!

2020 has been an unusual year, to say the least. So much of our lives - shopping, meeting friends, working and our children’s education - now happen online. We rely on our internet connection for food, for work, for our children’s education.

That’s why the Tory Government's choice to drop plans for better broadband is so disgraceful. We were promised fast broadband to all in the UK by 2025, it is now clear that was a lie.

At a time when our children’s education is being so deeply disrupted by COVID, and when so many classes are moving online, a fast and affordable broadband connection is not a luxury, it's essential. And when so many in rural Wales struggle for even the most basic connection, such a promise was the least we could offer.

Welsh Liberal Democrats are calling on the UK Government to immediately recommit to delivering fast broadband to all by 2025. Add your name today.
