5 Great Reasons to vote Welsh Lib Dems

Here are 5 positive reasons to back Welsh Liberal Democrats to Put Recovery First for Wales

1. 💷 Save our High Streets!

After the year we've had, our small businesses and local high-streets are struggling to recover after COVID.

Welsh Liberal Democrats will:

  • Save High Streets with a £500m Welsh Towns Fund.
  • Freeze business rates for 5 years then replace them with a fairer system.
  • Invest in residential and outdoor learning.

2. 👩🏼‍⚕️ Take Action on the Mental Health Crisis

Welsh Liberal Democrats will tackle the Mental Health Crisis which affects so many in Wales.

We will:

  • Train more mental health specialists for local community centres, hospitals and schools.
  • Create a 24/7 system of mental health support.
  • Set a goal to end out of area placements for treatment.

3. 👩🏻‍🏫 Create an Education System for All

After the fantastic work of Kirsty Williams in the last Senedd, we want to go even further in the next five years.

Welsh Liberal Democrats will:

  • Continue Free School Meals over all school holidays on a permanent basis.
  • Provide free childcare for all from 9 months until school age.
  • Boost Personal Learning Accounts to encourage lifelong learning.

4. 🌍 Tackle our Climate Emergency

Our planet won't wait while we are distracted with arguments of the past. We will put the climate emergency at the heart of our plans:

We will:

  • Spend £1bn per year to tackle the Climate Emergency.
  • Make homes more energy efficient with a Greener Homes Programme.
  • Introduce a Clean Air Act to protect health and wellbeing.

5. Put Recovery First...not Independence!

After the year we've all had, we need to spend every minute of the next five years focused on the Recovery.

Welsh Liberal Democrats will:

  • Defend devolution and give local communities a bigger say.
  • Keep our close relationship with our neighbours in Europe.
  • Focus on Putting Recovery First, not divisive arguments.
