On the first day of the Welsh Liberal Democrats’ Spring Conference conference delegates voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Welsh Liberal Democrats’ commitment to local communities this May.
Commenting, Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats and MP for Ceredigion Mark Williams, said;
“This conference shows that the Welsh Liberal Democrats have the passion, the ideas, and the determination to get things done for our local communities.
“In the face of Theresa May’s hard Brexit we need fresh ideas, new voices and real talent in our town and county halls to steer our public services through the Brexit storm.
“Our vision for local government, our commitment to community politics, and our determination to stand up for what’s right resonates with people in every community across Wales.
“People know that Welsh Liberal Democrat Councillors are the true champions of community politics. We are the local champions who will stand up for the best interest of our local communities at every turn.
“This May a vote for the Welsh Liberal Democrats is a vote for a party you can trust to stand up for you and your community.”
