Wefan Gymraeg

Volunteer and Infrastructure Building Organiser - Cardiff Central

Salary: £17,000-£19,000 (depending on experience)

Closing date: 5pm Monday 26 October 2015

Fixed term to the end of June 2016.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and self-motivated person to take on the role of Campaigns Organiser for Cardiff Central Liberal Democrats.

Cardiff Central is a target seat in the Welsh General Election in May 2016, with sitting Regional Assembly Member Eluned Parrott fighting to overturn a Labour majority of just 38.

You will be a lynch pin of the Campaign Team, overseeing the day to day workings of the campaigns office. You will motivate and organise volunteers and campaigners across the constituency, help develop the volunteer infrastructure and support capacity building activities. This will include increasing and developing our membership and activist base, building delivery networks and developing the use of Connect, our voter contact software.

Good organisational and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience of campaign organisation and using Connect would be an advantage, although campaign training and development will be provided to the successful candidate.

Some evening and weekend work, and travel around the constituency, will be required.

You are advised to read the full Job and Person Specification before applying for this post. Appointment will be subject to references.
