Candidate for Cardiff North
I am a keen campaigner, motivated to the core by liberal issues and championing the causes of local people. I’m 32 years old and believe passionately that younger generations are not well-represented enough when politics, something that really has to change.
I was out on the streets of Cardiff campaigning for a Remain vote in the 2016 referendum and believe strongly that Britain’s place is at the heart of Europe. Since the referendum too many politicians have changed their stripes, putting long-held views aside to support their political paymasters. Britain deserves a better politics than this, yet too often now our politics has become about slogans and heckling, rather than reasoned debate.
I have spent most of my career working in the third sector, in particular in communications. I have worked for a transport organisation that sought to reduce car use and instead deliver a transport system that made walking, cycling and public transport use the natural choice. With air pollution a major concern, this is an important issue. I now work for a global organisation that tackles poverty in the UK and abroad.
I care passionately about the need for a housing market that works, too many people are priced out of being able to buy a home, tackling climate change and protecting our personal freedoms.
A vote for me is a vote against a hard Brexit, for an outward looking Britain, and a politics that seeks to represent our entire society.
