Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats

Jane has worked in the public sector for over 20 years as a child protection social worker. She has been a strong voice on the issues facing refugee children and child trafficking, having worked with them in her work role. Jane has served as a local councillor, a school governor and as a trustee of a family centre in Montgomeryshire and she is a passionate advocate on the issue of homelessness. She established a voluntary community organisation in her local area which works with people who are homeless to try and provide a long term solution to their problems and get them back on their feet. Raised in North Wales in a Welsh speaking family, Jane and her husband now live in Welshpool.

As a woman and a worker in the public sector, Jane believes passionately in parliament being more representative of voters. Her background in working with those in need of protection drives her commitment to delivering a society that protects those who are vulnerable and need our support. She is  also incredibly passionate about Wales having strong links with the European Union and in tackling poverty throughout Wales.
