Jane Dodds

Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats.

Jane has worked in the public sector for over 20 years as a child protection social worker. She has been a strong voice on the issues facing refugee children and child trafficking, having worked with them in her work role. Jane has served as a local councillor, a school governor and as a trustee of a family centre in Montgomeryshire and she is a passionate advocate on the issue of homelessness. She established a voluntary community organisation in her local area which works with people who are homeless to try and provide a long term solution to their problems and get them back on their feet. Raised in North Wales in a Welsh speaking family, Jane and her husband now live in Welshpool.

As a woman and a worker in the public sector, Jane believes passionately in parliament being more representative of voters. Her background in working with those in need of protection drives her commitment to delivering a society that protects those who are vulnerable and need our support.
