Lembit Öpik, Liberal Democrat MP for Montgomeryshire, will this weekend renew his membership of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) at Lake Vyrnwy.

Lembit will be visiting the RSPB centre this Saturday (14th November) at 11am.

The Lake Vyrnwy reserve is home to very many popular bird species including black grouse, red grouse, hen harriers, merlin, and peregrines. The reserve is 24,000 acres, including 11,500 acres of Organic Farm Land where the RSPB rears Welsh Black Beef and Welsh Mountain Lamb for local sale.

Commenting ahead of his visit, Lembit said:

"The RSPB does incredibly important work in preserving our natural environment and wildlife. The reserve at Lake Vyrnwy also provides a beautiful backdrop for the public to enjoy the wildlife of Montgomeryshire at its best.

"I'm very much looking forward to my visit this weekend."
