Commenting on today's report from BBC Cymru into Welsh attitudes towardsclimate change, Jenny Willott, Welsh Liberal Democrat MP for CardiffCentral, said:

"This report shows that people in Wales are well informed on climatechange and ready to take a lead in combating it.

"Some people unfortunately still think that they don't have much of arole to play. This is wrong and a result of Labour's epic failure tocapture people's imagination over what a greener, healthier and cheaperplace the world could be if we really do take on climate change.

"Getting the big boys to act, like the US and China, is essential. Butthe best way to do that is to show that a low carbon future isachievable and beneficial. Wales can set an example to others and reapthe rewards through green jobs, better health and cheaper living.

"This report sends a loud and clear signal to the government that thepeople of Wales want action on climate change and are ready to lead."
